Bird Bookkeeping began when the third friend asked me for help with their books and I realized this wasn’t just something I could do, it was something I genuinely loved doing. As a former business owner myself, I know how heavy the load can be when you're trying to do it all — chasing receipts, replying to emails, managing orders — when all you really want to do is focus on your craft and serve your customers.
I started this business because I want to be the person I always needed: someone who not only understands the back end of business, but who shows up like a true partner, someone who helps carry the load and clears the way so you can grow with more ease, clarity, and confidence.

About Bird Bookkeeping
Bird Bookkeeping & Consulting was built on the belief that business owners deserve support they can trust - from someone who truly understands what it's like to do it all.

Before launching Bird Bookkeeping, founder Deb began her career in the accounting industry. Years later, she followed a creative calling and opened Little Bird Bakery, a beloved business she ran for nearly a decade. There, she learned firsthand the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, the joy of serving customers and the weight of wearing all the hats.

After closing the bakery, she took time to rest and reflect. When friends and fellow business owners began asking for help with their books and admin, it quickly became clear: this was more than a favor, it was a calling.

Based in rural Alberta, we serve clients locally and remotely. When we’re not balancing books and building systems, we’re enjoying time with family, soaking up the sunshine during the warmer months, and hibernating just a little during the cold ones.
